Jum’at, 19 Juli 2019 lalu, kembali di gelar kegiatan pemberian informasi mengenai HIV dan cara pencegahannya kepada warga Desa Namo Bintang, Kec. Pancur Batu, Kab. Deli Serdang. Kegiatan ini merupakan kelanjutan dari kegiatan pertama yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 4 Mei 2019 lalu di lokasi yang sama. Kegiatan pemberian informasi ini merupakan perwujudan dari pencanangan Desa Namo Bintang sebagai Desa Inklusif ODHA.

Pada kesempatan kali ini peserta dari kegiatan kedua ini jumlahnya menjadi dua kali lipat dari jumlah dari peserta pada kegiatan pertama. Warga Desa Namo Bintang berbondong-bondong datang mengunjungi balai desa dan dengan sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dari awal hingga akhir. dengan berbagai pertanyaan dan juga komitmen dari warga desa yang hadir.

Kegiatan ini di hadiri oleh tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh pemuda, PKK, Babinsa, LKMD dan PPD dengan narasumber dari BRSODH “Bahagia” Medan, Sumarno Sri Wibowo, A.KS, MM dan Mariasih dari Puskesmas Kec. Pancur Batu. Wibowo dalam arahannya menyatakan bahwa Balai mempunyai tugas untuk melaksanakan perlindungan, advokasi, pelayanan rehabilitasi sosial, pemberian informasi, rujukan dan koordinasi mengenai HIV. Sementara Mariasih memberikan informasi mengenai HIV, cara penularan dan pencegahannya guna memberikan pemahaman secara berkelanjutan kepada warga desa.

Kegiatan ini masih terus berlanjut hingga warga benar-benar memahami secara menyeluruh dan mendalam mengenai HIV, sehingga warga tidak memberikan stigma dan diskriminasi serta bisa menerima keberadaan warganya, apabila ada yang terinfeksi HIV serta mengerti cara penanggulangannya. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini terbangun sebuah komitmen antara BRSODH “Bahagia” Medan dengan perangkat pemerintah daerah untuk menciptakan suatu kebijakan dalam mendukung program pemerintah tentang penanggulangan HIV/AIDS.
